Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients of all ages:
    • Assess clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
    • Utilize various therapeutic techniques to help clients address their concerns and improve their mental health.
    • Provide a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
    • Help clients develop coping mechanisms and strategies for managing their symptoms.
    • Collaborate with clients to set goals and track progress.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans:
    • Gather information from clients through interviews, observations, and psychological testing.
    • Diagnose mental health disorders and identify factors contributing to clients' symptoms.
    • Develop treatment plans that outline the goals of therapy and the specific interventions that will be used.
    • Regularly review and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to provide integrated care:
    • Consult with other mental health professionals, medical doctors, and social workers to ensure that clients receive comprehensive care.
    • Participate in team meetings to discuss clients' progress and develop coordinated treatment plans.
    • Provide input on clients' diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge planning.
  • Stay up-to-date on current mental health research and best practices:
    • Regularly read journals and attend conferences to learn about new research findings and treatment techniques.
    • Participate in continuing education programs to maintain licensure and expand knowledge.
    • Incorporate evidence-based practices into clinical work.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities:
    • Attend workshops and seminars to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
    • Pursue advanced degrees or certifications in specialized areas of mental health.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), LPC-Candidate (LPC-C), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oklahoma.
  • At least 2 years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling services, preferably in a setting similar to the one described in this job posting. While 2 years of experience is preferred, candidates with less experience may be considered if they demonstrate exceptional qualifications in other areas.
  • Strong clinical skills, including the ability to conduct comprehensive assessments, make accurate diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and build strong therapeutic relationships.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, client-centered care, with a focus on evidence-based practices and cultural sensitivity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with other mental health professionals and support staff.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, ethical guidelines, and best practices in the field of mental health counseling.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and other technology tools used in mental health settings.
  • A passion for helping individuals overcome mental health challenges and achieve their full potential.
